The EVAL-ADXL312Z is a current-output MEMS accelerometer from Analog Devices intended for a variety of sensing applications. It provides a high-sensitivity, low-noise acceleration measurement in three directions, along the X, Y, and Z axes. Its two-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI) ensures an easy communication with the host controller. The EVAL-ADXL312Z consists of two parts, the ADXL312Z MEMS accelerometer and the EVAL-ADXL312Z evaluation board which is a full featured evaluation board. The EVAL-ADXL312Z evaluation board can be used in a wide range of acceleration sensing applications. It can be used in automotive, military, industrial and consumer applications. These applications include tilt sensing, gesture recognition, vibration monitoring, level sensing and the like. The board has two mounting holes, which can be used to mount the board in a variety of orientations for various applications. It is also suitable for use in applications such as robotics, flight control, gesture recognition, user interface and gaming.
The ADXL312Z MEMS accelerometer on the EVAL-ADXL312Z board has an integrated on-chip temperature compensation system. This system ensures that the device is able to measure accurately over a wide range of temperatures. It also provides a high level of accuracy in smaller temperature changes and in higher temperature gradients. The accelerometer also has a low-noise and low power consumption mode, allowing for reduced power consumption in applications such as mobile phones and wearable devices. These ranges can be used for various applications such as low-g (30V) and high-g (90V) sensing. The board also comes with a separate “Test” jumper, which allows the user to test the functionality of the board by shorting the jumper to “Run” and measuring the output voltage. Finally, the board also features an LED indicator which turns on when it receives a signal over the SPI.
