The EVAL-ADXL362Z-S is a ready-made, single-chip inertial measurement unit (IMU) used to measure acceleration and inclination in consumer electronics, medical and industrial applications. This evaluation board is a great way to quickly determine the capabilities of this leading-edge accelerometer.The EVAL-ADXL362Z-S is equipped with the latest accelerometer technology from Analog Devices, Inc. It features a powerful 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0 processor to process the acceleration data from the sensor, as well as an on-board temperature sensor. It also features a low-current MEMS accelerometer, the ADXL362, which is capable of measuring and transmitting the strength of acceleration and inclination in all three axes as well as its temperature measurement range.The board also features an LCD display to show a graphical representation of the acceleration, inclination, and temperature data, as well as the device’s output in voltage. As the device is moved, the proof masses move, and the change in the electrical field causes a change in the density of the electrical current and thus the measurement of the acceleration.In the electrical mode, the device is connected to an electrical circuit and the charge on the electrical conductor is used to measure the acceleration.
