The EVAL-ADXRS453Z evaluation board system is an inertial measurement unit (IMU) designed for measuring angular rate which has been developed by Analog Devices. The set of inertial motion sensors provides accurate measurements of angular velocity and the orientation of objects in three-dimensions. It features the ADXRS453Z three-axis angular rate MEMS gyroscope from Analog Devices, and is an ideal choice for orientation sensing in autonomous vehicles, industrial machineries, and consumer electronics.
The EVAL-ADXRS453Z evaluation board is suitable for robotic navigation, motion control, and vibration analysis applications in a wide range of industrial or commercial products. Its accuracy and reliability can be demonstrated in a variety of computationally intensive applications.
The EVAL-ADXRS453Z evaluation board contains the ADXRS453Z angular rate MEMS gyroscope from Analog Devices which is an integrated inertial measurement unit (IMU) which contains all of the essential components, sensors, and circuitry needed to provide accurate and reliable angular rate sensing in three dimensions. The ADXRS453Z has an ultra-low-current mode for extended battery life, and it includes an optional temperature sensor for enhanced performance and reliability.
The ADXRS453Z angular rate MEMS gyroscope features a single-axis Z-axis angular rate sensing element, a single-axis accelerometer, and a low-noise two-axis X/Y-axis gyroscope. The device can measure angular rate and acceleration up to 400°/sec in 3D measurements. The output of the device is digital, and it is capable of reliable and consistent measurements in a wide range of dynamic applications, from low-speed robotic position control to high-speed objet motion detection.
The board\'s operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, and it operates at supply voltages from 1.1 V to 3.6 V. The EVAL-ADXRS453Z evaluation board achieves a maximum data rate of 8 kHz, and provides a typical angular rate acuracy of 0.2°/sec. The device is highly accurate over the -40 to 85°C temperature range
The EVAL-ADXRS453Z evaluation board includes the ADXRS453Z angular rate MEMS gyroscope, as well as all necessary hardware, software, and documentation for its evaluation and development.
