A Buck-Boost topology is used to maximize efficiency and deliver up to 5.5 A of current from a single 5 V input. This is achieved by using state-of-the-art power MOSFETs integrated JFETs with an on-chip Schottky diode. On-chip loop compensation and programmable features allow the engineer to optimize the behavior of the system and adapt the regulation loop to the conditions of the system and application requirements.
