The EVAL-CN0335-PMDZ is a next-generation Cypress Precision-Measurement Data Acquisition (PMDZ) board for evaluation and development of embedded systems including in determining the accuracy, reliability and safety of a system. This evaluation board provides a realistic platform for prototype development, enabling engineers to evaluate the performance of various embedded systems in complete working environments. The board features an industry-leading Cypress Precision Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology and a dual-channel data acquisition system with the ability to measure, capture, display and store data from multiple sensor devices.
EVAL-CN0335-PMDZ is ideal for designing and developing an array of embedded system applications. Examples include embedded system, instrumentation and control, audio processing, human-machine interface (HMI) design, radar and sonar, wireless communications, and digital image analysis. Furthermore, the board has the capability to measure, process and transmit data between sensors, displays, and other peripheral devices. The board is also equipped with a 32-bit digital signal processor (DSC) that enables the capture and real-time processing of high-precision signals.
The onboard microprocessor, Cypress Precision Digital Signal Processor (DSP) , is a high-performance system-on-chip which facilitates the data acquisition and signal processing. This processor has an integrated analog-to-digital converter and digital-to-analog circuitry along with several peripheral devices including analog-to-digital converter, Quadrature Encoder, Pulse Width Modulator, Pulse Width Counter, and support modules like High Precision Differential Input Channel, Enhanced GPIOs, and Analog Front-End.
The board also has an on-board 10/100 Ethernet interface which enables users to connect to several external networks for data acquisition and signal processing, as well as providing remote access and programming capabilities. The proprietary Cypress Precision DSP architecture used in the board offers superior real time signal processing performance and calculation accuracy. Additionally, the FPGA open architecture allows users to customize algorithms for real time signal conditioning and other operations.
The EVAL-CN0335-PMDZ evaluation board is equipped with several development tools such as the On-board Processor Support Package (OSBP), Cypress Precision Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Cypress Precision Digital Control and Interface Bus (DC&IB), and Cypress XP2 PCIe port for connecting external PC or FPGA. Furthermore, the board also supports a variety of peripheral devices, such as user configurable emulation logic device, flash memory, SRAM memory, and boot-loader.
This EVAL-CN0335-PMDZ expansion board is designed to expand and enhance the capabilities of the Board with advanced functions such as high precision data acquisition, multi-axis control, high speed digital communication, and intelligent system control. This board is also ideal for developing applications which requires the utilization of analog and digital IO components and memory modules.
