The high-side MOSFET is connected to the low-side gate driver, which dissipates the charge during turn-off. In the turn-on process, the LSGD slowly charges the gate to allow time for the power supply rail to reach its nominal value. The high-side MOSFET then turns on, allowing current to flow and the load to be switched.In addition, the FAN73932M features an adjustable soft start function which is used to minimize inrush current on start up.
