The FT838D1-BL-RT is a compact, efficient and cost-effective offline switching Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC). It is a three-output offline switching power supply that provides a high level of power system integration and high efficiency. The FT838D1-BL-RT is designed to meet the diverse design needs of applications such as Those powered by batteries, or with low power AC line sources. The device can provide high efficiency and low power consumption, even when operating from the world’s most demanding input sources.
The FT838D1-BL-RT features three outputs: one adjustable output for the main power bus voltage and two fixed secondary outputs for providing the low power auxiliary functions. The adjustable main output is capable of providing a wide range of voltage from 0.9 V to 5.5 V with up to 3 A current limit. The two secondary outputs can provide 0.9 V and 1.8 V for low power peripheral devices, with a combined current limit of 1.8 A.
The FT838D1-BL-RT is a very reliable device; it is able to maintain reliable operation over temperature and across temperature cycles with no significant de-rating. The device also has built-in fault protection and soft-start circuitry to provide maximum safety and reliability. Thermal protection and self-protection circuitries are also integrated to safeguard against any over-current, over-temperature, or short circuit conditions.
The FT838D1-BL-RT is suitable for a wide range of offline switching applications, including AC adapters, power converters, computers, telecom equipment, industrial control systems, motor drives, and battery-powered systems.
