The MOSFET-based bridge rectifier offers a low forward voltage drop of 1V max, a flat reverse recovery characteristic, low leakage current, low reverse current and low thermal resistance.The GBL005-E3/5 is designed for use in a wide range of AC voltage applications. The bridge rectifier offers an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, allowing for operation in both commercial and automotive environments. The bridge rectifier also features surge immunity up to 8kV and an ESD tolerance of 2kV.The GBL005-E3/5 bridge rectifier uses four diodes dynamically connected in a bridge configuration in order to form a full wave rectifier. When the AC voltage is applied to the diode bridge, a full wave rectified sine wave output is generated. The output is a pulsed DC wave as the diodes are alternately turned on and off as the AC voltage alternates in timing and amplitude.The bridge rectifier also uses a control terminal which allows the user to control the rectified output waveform. By changing the control signal, the bridge rectifier can be used to generate either a full wave rectified sine wave or a square wave output. The control terminal also allows for the reduction of rectified output waveform distortion, allowing for more precise control over the output waveform.The GBL005-E3/5 is designed for use in a wide range of applications such as power supplies, AC/DC converters, switching power supplies, battery chargers, telecom systems, automotive applications, and digital electronics.
