Optoisolators are optical output device components used to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. When a signal is detected by the photovoltaic output, the transistor acts as a buffer, amplifying the signal to the output state. The H11A5-V is a four-pin optoisolator with a phototransistor output and an open-collector output that can be used to interface systems.

The H11A5-V optoisolator’s four-pin design includes one photodiode light sensor, one collector output, one emitter output, and one ground.
