HMC565LC5TR is an RF amplifier, designed with the latest technologies to provide outstanding features for both Amateur and Commercial/Industrial applications. It is ideal for high power, narrow band amplification of both analog and digital signals and is also suitable for Voice Over IP (VoIP) applications. The HMC565LC5TR can operate within an extremely wide frequency range from UHF (Ultra High-Frequency) to W-Band (W-Band being the widest of the frequency bands), and can easily handle maximum power levels up to 15 Watts.
This amplifier has been specifically designed to provide a very high linearity and low noise figure while maintaining excellent gain performance. The HMC565LC5TR offers extremely low input and output VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) and excellent temperature compensation over a wide temperature range while maintaining excellent gain and linearity across the full bandwidth. This amplifier also supports a wide range of gain and power control functions including gain control, power-saving mode, and temperature range control.
In terms of operation, the output of the HMC565LC5TR is adjustable by a single digital or analog control pin. The gain and power-level of the amplifier is adjusted either manually or by an internal temperature detecting circuit depending on the application requirements. One of the most useful features of this amplifier is its ability to be programmed to automatically adjust gain, power, and temperature regulation for optimal performance.
For most Amateur applications, the HMC565LC5TR can provide an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of more than 33 dB and up to 16 watts of linear power output. It also provides very low Q-factor and very fast signal switching. For Commercial/Industrial applications, this device can offer a variety of features such as wide operating frequency range, wide gain range, excellent linearity, low noise figure, and low operating temperature for a wide range of applications such as radar systems, broadcast radio/television, satellite, and Wi-Fi systems.
The HMC565LC5TR provides many features such as excellent gain control, low-noise RF amplifier, wide frequency range, low power consumption, low distortion, high linearity, temperature compensation, flat gain, and fast switching times. It is ideal for use in many Amateur and Industrial applications such as Wi-Fi, radar, broadcast television/radio systems, satellite down links, and broadcast links. This amplifier is capable of providing a high level of performance at a consistently high level under adverse conditions. It is also well suited for laboratory use as it provides very low levels of distortion and noise.
