HMC987LP5E is a versatile clock buffer, driver, and translator family designed to achieve lowest-jitter and the widest variety of frequencies and output types available in an IC. It is designed to copy, divide, multiply, and synthesize new clock frequencies from one input reference clock by using a combination of PLLs and multiplexers. This makes the HMC987LP5E ideal for applications such as spacecraft, homeland security, and instrumentation.
The HMC987LP5E consists of a pair of tapped delay lines, multiple PLLs, a digital synthesizer, a multiplexer and an output buffer.
