Optoisolators are a type of electrical components that are installed between two circuits to provide isolation between them. Optoisolators typically consist of an ultraviolet or infrared light emitting diode (LED) optically coupled with an optical detector such as a phototransistor, photocell or other optoelectronic detector. The HMHA2801AR1 type of optoisolator, or optocoupler, is a transistor, photovoltaic output version.
