The current then passes through the other two phases, B and C, and the voltage across each of them will decrease. At the same time, the voltage of the A-phase will rise and the current will flow in the opposite direction. Then, the voltages across the B and C phases will maintain the same level. As a result, the forward current is kept between the A and B phases and the output voltage is kept between the B and C phases.
