HSMP-3895-TR1G is an advanced, compact and cost-effective reflective surface acoustic wave (SAW) device. Representing the state-of-the-art SAW technology, The HSMP-3895-TR1G is targeted for application in mobile handset, cellular and cordless phone rf front end applications.The HSMP-3895-TR1G is a two port reflective SAW device with a unique transmission and reflection frequency response, thereby allowing it to provide high-order bandpass filtering. By incorporating advanced design techniques, the HSMP-3895-TR1G provides improved performance characteristics, such as wider pass-band, narrower bandwidth, lower insertion loss, higher attenuation levels, and lower ripple compared to conventional SAW devices.The HSMP-3895-TR1G is specifically designed for narrow-band applications and is ideal for use in applications such as down-converter and duplexers. This device features a reflective SAW mirror, a bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filter, and a temperature compensation filter, which together create a single package filter. The combination of these three elements provides a low-cost, high-performance filter solution.The HSMP-3895-TR1G has a wide bandwidth and a low insertion loss. It is designed to operate at frequencies up to 24 GHz. The device offers an optimized SAW mirror reflector, enabling very precise control of the reflection and transmission frequency characteristics. The low insertion loss reduces harmonic distortions and provides an improved linear response at the filter output. The device also incorporates an equivalent temperature compensation filter to reduce drifting in the filter frequency response due to temperature variations.Working PrincipleThe HSMP-3895-TR1G operates by using the principle of SAW reflection. In a SAW device, a surface acoustic wave is generated by Piezoelectric transducers, which then propagates along the surface of an acoustic substrate. At certain points on the substrate, certain frequency components of the wave are reflected back by reflectors called SAW mirrors.
