It is significantly faster than standard LS-TTL buffers, and much faster than 74FCT buffers. This makes the IDT74FCT38075DCI an ideal solution for buffering those high-speed, low-skew clock signals, or any other application requiring a low-power, high-speed CMOS buffer.The IDT74FCT38075DCI consists of four independent 3-state buffers with full TTL compatibility and low-skew outputs. Each output is open drain, allowing multiple buffers to be cascaded when output fan-out is needed. All four outputs are controlled by a common Output Enable (OE) pin. The outputs are either high-impedance when the OE is in the off-state, or driven to the active state (either high or low, depending on the logic level of the input) when OE is in the on-state.In addition to its application in buffering clock signals, the IDT74FCT38075DCI can also be used as a multiplexor, such as in data transmission applications. For example, the IDT74FCT38075DCI can be used to select one of several data sources for output. The selected data source can be changed by driving OE to the on-state.The IDT74FCT38075DCI\'s output levels are determined by the state of the input pin. Inputs are TTL compatible, allowing a wide range of logic levels to be interfaced to the device. The device also has a Schmitt trigger input to reduce input noise and improve noise rejection.The IDT74FCT38075DCI also has a second complementary output, labelled OUTA and OUTB. These outputs complete the signal path between source and load, allowing for greater noise immunity. When OUTA is LOW, OUTB is HIGH, and vice versa.
