The IP2034TRPBF is part of a family of digitally-controlled, non-isolated point of load DC-DC converters. The device integrates both step-up and step-down DC-DC switching regulators. It is manufactured using an advanced BiCOSMOS® technology, fabricated using dual Deflection Coils (DDC) architecture which combines high accuracy and good efficiency to provide users with an ideal solution for their load needs.

The IP2034TRPBF provides maximum output of 4A and a voltage range of 4V to 6V in continuous mode with overvoltage protection. It includes an array of features that enable easy integration, such as a built-in temperature control, load line control, and trim circuit for voltage accuracy and current limiting for protection. The device is highly efficient and provides an adjustable protection level for undervoltage, over-temperature, overload, and overtemperature. The operating principle of IP2034TRPBF is shown in Figure 1 below. It uses a pulse width modulation (PWM) technique to generate a variable voltage output.
