The ISL43240IR-T is an interface analog switch, multiplexer and demultiplexer. It offers low-voltage operation from a single 3.3V supply, with a fast responding slewing rate, high ESD protection, and low RON on-resistance. The device is internally protected from over-temperature and ESD and can be used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications.

The ISL43240IR-T is a single-supply digital controlled analog switch, multiplexer, and demultiplexer with two-to-one (2:1) multiplexer/demultiplexer combinations. It contains two switch/multiplexer channels with complementary outputs providing a total of five possible combinations: two single switches, one double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switch, one four-pole two-throw (4P2T), and one four-pole single-throw (4PS). This flexibility makes it an ideal choice for applications such as ADC and/or DAC multiplexing, analog signal routing, and amplifier switching.

The ISL43240IR-T is designed to provide fast response to digital control input, with a data set-up time of 500ns maximum and a data hold time of 300ns maximum. It features low RON on-resistance at 10ohm max, which can provide low power consumption relative to other analog multiplexers available on the market. Its slew rate is 7V/µs minimum and its maximum VDD acceptance is 5V. The device also offers ESD protection up to 2000V HBM.

The output of the ISL43240IR-T can be used to drive large capacitive loads, up to 200µF maximum, with a low driving capability of 8mA. It has a power-on reset that sets all the switches to their high-impedance states until the logic comes up, in order to prevent current leakage. The device can operate over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range and is offered in a 16-pin TSSOP and 8-pin MLP package.
