A programmable current-limit circuit allows selection of peak current, automatically countered by the current-voltage gradient or complex time-based protection.

The device’s unique SenseFET feature ensures accurate current monitoring. This feature, combined with the weak pullup scheme and enable input, allows for complete sequencing of the enable and inhibit pins together when using the enable sequencer.The ISL61863KIRZ also includes protection from overcurrent events generated by hot-swap connector, short-circuit, and inductor saturation. It also features an adjustable operating frequency of 150kHz to 2Mhz with programmable dead time.
