ISL78420AVEZ is a high voltage, high frequency, internally compensated, low side N-channel Gate Driver IC from Intersil Corporation. It is a fully featured, single-chip solution for driving N-channel power MOSFETs in high-frequency, high-speed switching applications where efficiency, accuracy and control over low-side power MOSFETs are critical. ISL78420AVEZ is rated up to 56 V and is designed to provide fast switching speeds of up to 500KHz in applications such as DC/DC converters and motor control.
The ISL78420AVEZ is part ofIntersil\'s PMIC Gate Drivers product family that includes various industry-leading Gate Driver ICs, such as inverting buck/boost controllers with high operating temperature ranges and high transient accuracy, as well as low-side/half-bridge Gate Drivers, totem-pole Drive ICs for high-power load switches and dual-supply logic translators.
The ISL78420AVEZ integrates a high-side Gate Driver and a low-side Gate Driver in a single package. It offers two independent, low-side N-channel MOSFET drivers that are used to control two external N-channel MOSFETs. The two MOSFETs form a two-level converter for voltage conversion, allowing for a wide range of power inputs ranging from 3V to 56V.
