The evaluation board also comes with an on-board PC connection (Ethernet/USB) and a host processor to provide increased capability with in-depth debugging.Using the evaluation board, users can access various features and applications of the JN5179-SMA SoC, and quickly evaluate the functionality of their projects. The board is pre-programmed with an application example that allows users to experiment with various functions while providing an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) for controlling the development process. The board offers an open source design environment for developing a variety of wireless home sensor networks applications such as lighting control, home automation, air quality monitoring, and more.The JN5179-SMA-EVAL1Z development kit also supports numerous wireless networking protocols, including the IEEE 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN, Z-Wave, Thread, Zigbee, Insteon, Bluetooth Low Energy, and more. This ensures that users have the flexibility to deploy these technologies for their specific applications. Additionally, the development kit supports over-the-air data transfer, which allows data to be transferred between two connected devices without requiring physical connection.Moreover, the board is equipped with an integrated debug and programming interface, which provides the industry standard JTAG and serial port debugging, as well as an USB connection for programming and debugging.
