Introduction

KA7906TU is a three terminal adjustable positive linear voltage regulator of 5A, 7A. It works on a wide input voltage range from 3V to 40V, and provides adjustable output voltage from 1.2V to 37V. This voltage regulator is built on monolithic integrated circuits and is compact and integrated. Working Principle of KA7906TU

The KA7906TU is divided into three components: power transistor, voltage reference and voltage regulator. The power transistor is used to conduct and draw the current from the input voltage source. The voltage reference targets to provide a stable reference voltage. This reference voltage is kept constant by the shutdown mode of the power transistor. The third component of KA7906TU is its voltage regulator. The voltage regulator is used to maintain the dc voltage of the system.
