PMIC Motor Drivers, Controllers are devices that convert the power required by the motors into a form, which can then be used to operate the motors. The L6226N is a dual full bridge motor driver and is used to control and direct the motor current. Its missions are to drive the voltage into a motor and control the current in the power system.The L6226N is suitable for a wide range of applications, including pneumatics, robotics, home appliances, automotive, machinery control and home automation. It can be used in motor or load control applications such as pumps, fans and medical equipment control as well as providing greater control over power conversion in applications such as drones and robots.The L6226N is a dual full bridge motor driver. It is designed to provide the power necessary for two motors, the motors can be used in different orientations, for example if two motors are used in a circular pattern the board can be orientated at 45°, 90° and 135°. The two full bridges accommodate two motors with up to 2 Amps of current through each bridge. The L6226N has four outputs that control the next/stop pulse signal from the microprocessor and the voltage between the four outputs to control the speed and direction of the motor.The L6226N’s motor control functions are enabled by 24-bit loops and 4-bit direction control. The 24-bit loops provide precise current read-back without the need for external parts. Direction control is handled by an internal logic that uses four signals and can be used to configure up to eight directions when used in combination with the two full bridges.The L6226N provides several features for motor protection and power optimization. The power driver is made from four Cree-XT60 transistors that actively contribute to driving efficiency. The chip is also equipped with current transducers that can detect and monitor motor current with up to 5A of read-back current. This feature helps to prevent motor burn-out. It also prevents motor burn-out due to over-current limiting.The chip is also equipped with four smart voltage stabilization circuits that accurately adjust the output voltage depending on the load power. The voltage enable/disable pin ensures that the motor is only powered when the enable/disable input pin is switched. The enable/disable pin allows the user to quickly shut down the motor if the system needs to be shut down quickly.The L6226N has both analog and digital interfaces available. The analog inputs allow the user to quickly set the maximum current that the motor should draw from the supply. The digital inputs provide the user with a range of features, such as Parameterization of the direction, Motor control and Motor protection control.In conclusion, the L6226N is a dual full bridge motor driver and is suitable for a variety of applications where it can be used to control and direct the current of two motors. The chip is equipped with features for current monitoring, power optimization, and motor protection. The chip also has two analog and digital interfaces for easy setting and parameterization, as well as efficient power savings.
