Working Principle of the LGY1E822MELA30The LGY1E822MELA30 operates in accordance with the principle of electrolytic capacitor function. When a voltage is applied to the capacitor with the correct polarity, ions in the electrolyte are attracted to the anode and cathode, forming a thin layer of electrolyte on the surfaces of the electrodes. This closely-packed layer of ions enables the capacitor to store an electrical charge.When a current flows through the capacitor, some of the ions move to the other side of the capacitor, creating a space between the electrodes. This leads to an increase in capacitance, as the effective area of the electrodes is larger. As the current through the device increases, the capacitance decreases.When the voltage across the capacitor is reversed, the ions in the electrolyte are again attracted to the opposite surface of the electrodes, causing the capacitance to decrease.
