Working Principle:
The LM25005MH is a high-efficiency, low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) with an internal synchronous buck converter that allows it to achieve high conversion efficiency over wide input and output voltage ranges. It achieves this efficiency by relying on a ripple-based control technique that modulates the main power switch to limit input current ripple and maintain output voltage accuracy when the environment changes. The output voltage is held constant while the input voltage and/or load current fluctuate.
The LM25005MH operates in what is known as a fixed-frequency discontinuous mode. This mode of operation consists of three phases: voltage ramp, current limit, and constant frequency.
