TheLM25088MH-2EVALis avaluable and functional tool for users to optimize their workingmotivation and gain an insight into the potential offered by DC/DC and AC/DC(Off-Line) SMPS. This evaluation board is based on the LM25088MH-2evaluation kit, with the Maxim MAX797 in the primary control stage.
The work principle of the LM25088MH-2EVAL is simple and reliable. A DC inputis momentarily applied to the switch node via primary control stage circuits. Asthe switch node voltage is equal to the input voltage, the output voltage willbe the sum of the switch node voltage and the output voltage present at theoutput terminals. Thus, the output voltage can be adjusted accurately indepen-dent of input voltage. In this way, theLM25088MH-2EVAL can be connectedto the supply source to provide constant voltage output even in the event of aninput voltage change by a maximum value of 12V.
In addition, the LM25088MH-2EVAL features two main control audio stages: aprimary control stage and a secondary control stage. The primary control stageconsists of two inverters and one low drop-out regulator (LDO). The inverters formthe oscillator, while the LDO sets the duty cycle of the oscillator. The secondarycontrol stage consists of two p-channel field effect transistors (FETs), which formthe main switch of the board. The LM25088MH-2EVAL also utilizes severalauxiliary components, such as a transformer, a rectifier, and other circuit com-ponents.
