The MVR circuit combines a high performance integrated switching regulator with a linear regulator, to create a cost effective solution that can provide stable voltage regulation at any load condition.The MVR circuit in the LM2575HVT-15/LF03 offers wide input voltage range, fast transient response time and low noise. The switching regulator provides a fully regulated voltage output that is independent of the input voltage. As with other switching regulators, the LM2575HVT-15/LF03 also has protection circuits to prevent over voltage and shorts.Performance
The LM2575HVT-15/LF03 is capable of providing output voltages ranging from 1.25V to 15V with a maximum current of 0.5A. The switching regulator offers high efficiency of up to 92% and low quiescent current of 150µA. The input voltage range is 6V to 32V and the switching frequency is 260 KHz.The LM2575HVT-15/LF03 also has a wide range of protection features including over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP) and overtemperature protection (OTP). The protection features prevent the system from malfunctioning due to external disturbances or abnormal conditions.
