LM2575T-15/NOPB Application Field and Working Principle
The LM2575T-15/NOPB voltage regulator is a step-down switching regulator device. Working principle
The LM2575T-15/NOPB is an adjustable fixed-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) step-down regulator. For current limiting protection, the LM2575T-15/NOPB utilizes pulse-by-pulse current limiting, in which the current limit is triggered by monitoring the voltage across a sense resistor in the feedback loop. The current limit is initiated if the voltage across the resistor exceeds a specified threshold. This feature ensures that the output load current is maintained at a safe and steady level.
To protect the device from thermal runaway and overcurrent, the LM2575T-15/NOPB also incorporates a thermal shutdown and overvoltage protection (OVP) circuitry. In the case of thermal runaway, the device shuts down and the output will remain open until the temperature is reduced and the thermal protection latch is reset. If the output voltage exceeds the OVP limit, the output is disabled until the OVP limit is reduced.
