Switching regulators are among the most important power management integrated circuits (PMICs) used by a wide range of applications due to their high efficiency, small size, and fast response. LM2588SX-12/NOPB is a high voltage, high current, synchronous fixed-frequency step-up/step-down DC/DC switching regulator. LM2588SX-12/NOPB operates under a synchronous fixed frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller, which operates at a nominal fixed frequency of 450 kHz, but can also be adjusted from 200 kHz to 600 kHz. It provides a switching range from 2.5V to 28V, with a built-in VIN and VOUT short-circuit protection. TheLM2588SX-12/NOPB also features a wide input voltage range, adjustable output voltage and current, soft-start control, and over-temperature/current protection.
