Description
The LM2611AMF/NOPB is a low-power, integrated buck-boost switching regulator. The device is designed to provide variable output voltage over a wide range of input voltages. The device includes a high side N-channel MOSFET, a low side N-channel MOSFET, an integrated topologies and inductor, and a voltage divider to sense the input and output voltage of the device. The device includes an integrated 7-bit fractional-N PLL to allow for an optimized switching frequency range of 200kHz to 1.2MHz.

Working Principle
The LM2611AMF/NOPB employs a buck-boost architecture to achieve optimal efficiency over a wide range of output voltages. The device consists of an integrated buck and boost switch along with a voltage divider connected to the gate of the high side MOSFET. A 7-bit fractional-N PLL is used to switch the buck and boost PWM signals, allowing for an optimized switching frequency range of 200kHz to 1.2MHz. The voltage divider determines the output voltage at the end of the switch cycle. The output voltage is regulated by adjusting the switching frequency of the PLL and changing the division ratio of the voltage divider.
The LM2611AMF/NOPB also features over-voltage protection, over-current protection and thermal protection. The over-voltage protection is activated by monitoring the output voltage, and if this voltage exceeds the set level, the device shuts down. The over-current protection is activated if the current exceeds the current limit, and the device shuts down. The thermal protection is triggered when the temperature exceeds the set limit and the device shuts down.
