Working Principle

LM2611BMF is a DC-DC step-up switching regulator with an internal current-mode control loop. It allows a current output of up to 2A from a variable DC voltage input of 1.8V to 5.5V. Its fixed-frequency PWM modulator provides excellent transient response and an output voltage accuracy of 1%.The LM2611BMF is designed to operate at a fixed switching frequency determined by the external resistor-capacitor (RC) network. The oscillator frequency can be adjusted by setting the values of the resistor and capacitor connected to the RT/CT pin. The adjustable output voltage is programmed by the two resistors connected between the EN/FB pin and ground. The internal short-circuit protection circuit prevents the output current from exceeding the programmed overload current. The overload threshold is set by the resistor connected to the OC/TC pin.The thermal shutdown protection circuit monitors the junction temperature of the regulator and shuts down the device if it exceeds 150°C. In addition, the LM2611BMF can be shut down by setting the EN/FB pin to a low state. The low quiescent current of only 9 μA in shutdown mode conserves battery energy when the LM2611BMF is not in use. Therefore, the LM2611BMF is a reliable and efficient DC-DC step-up switching regulator for a variety of applications.
