The LM2665M6 is a low-power, highly integratedDC-DC switching regulator that operates in Buck, Boost, SEPIC, Flyback or Invertingtopologies. The high efficiency switching regulator features adjustable input and outputvoltage, adjustable current limit, and high current output. It effectively delivers up to 2MHz switching frequency with fixed frequency voltage mode control scheme, eliminating the use of high gain amplifiers. Working Principle
The LM2665M6 operates in Buck, Boost, SEPIC, Flyback or Inverting topologies. It incorporates a fixed frequency PWM control for output regulation. The internal oscillator runs at a fixed frequency, which is adjustable from 50kHz to 2MHz, depending on the application requirements. The output voltage of the LM2665M6 is regulated by the error amplifier and feedback inputs connections. The voltage VFB is compared to the internal reference voltage VREF. If VFB is lower than VREF, the error amplifier regulates the PWM comparator to drive the N-MOS switch OFF. The N-MOS switch is turned OFF and the inductor current flows through the low side diode and the output capacitor, increasing the output voltage. If VFB is higher than VREF, the error amplifier regulates the PWM comparator to drive the N-MOS switch ON. The inductor current is discharged through the N-MOS switch, decreasing the output voltage. The LM2665M6 also features adjustable current limit. When the current limit is greater than the inductor current limit, the inductor current will increase until it reaches the current limit threshold, then the PWM comparator is disabled, ceasing the switch drive. The current through the inductor is thereby limited and regulated to the preset current limit parameter.
