The LM2671LD-12/NOPB is a DC-to-DC Step-Up Switching Regulator designed to efficiently convert a positive input voltage to a higher positive voltage with a maximum output current of up to 500mA. It has the capability of taking an input voltage that is as low as 1.5V and producing an output voltage that may be as high as 12V with a voltage accuracy of ±2%. This versatility makes the LM2671LD-12/NOPB an ideal choice for many battery powered applications, such as highly portable products such as notebook computers, camcorders, and medical devices. The voltage converter is capable of working with any product that requires a specified output voltage in a battery powered environment.The LM2671LD-12/NOPB allows a low amount of power to be efficiently converted into higher voltage power. This is done through a Switching Frequency and Synchronization Regulator that is integrated into the chip. This allows the chip to rapidly switch on and off and receive data from the microprocessor, allowing it to adjust the output voltage accurately. The switching frequency can be adjusted via an external resistor or by utilizing the internal Feedback and Synchronization Regulator built into the chip.The LM2671LD-12/NOPB also features a Shutdown Mode which allows for lower power consumption in conditions when the adjustable Pin Voltage is not needed. Additionally, the current limit protection, overtemperature protection, and thermal shutdown all make the LM2671LD-12/NOPB a very safe and reliable choice for any application.The LM2671LD-12/NOPB also allows for increased performance and interchangeability with multiple voltage sources.
