This device integrates two high-voltage 130 mA external N-channel MOSFETs, and its regulated output can be stepped down from 24V to 0.2V. The LM2674M-12 is also able to withstand up to 40V input.The LM2674M-12 is designed as a low-cost and efficient solution for many different applications, including 12V and 24V data communication, servers and telecom, industrial power supplies, audio power amplifiers, LED lighting, automotive power supplies, battery charging, etc. Its 5-pin SO-8 and TO-220 packages facilitate the incorporation into a wide range of applications.The LM2674M-12 employs a pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller to provide fast-transient response, improved line and load regulations, and reduced switching noise. It features internal soft start, up to 2.8A of continuous output current, thermal shutdown protection, and short-circuit protection to ensure current foldback and long-term stability of the device.The LM2674M-12 includes a 2.9 kHz switching frequency capable of reaching up to 94% efficiency. It is also equipped with an integrated compensated error amplifier, under-voltage lockout, synchronization capability, and a low-ripple Burst Mode operation for improved ripple current and improved light load efficiency.The LM2674M-12 includes a fixed-frequency peak current mode control structure, which is ideal for a wide range of applications and enables designers to quickly and effectively adjust the design parameters. The device can be programmed to be in a single-output or multi-output configuration, allowing flexibility in meeting design objectives.In order to support a wide range of input voltage, the LM2674M-12 has an adjustable VCC voltage range from 7V to 14V and a VIN voltage range from 4.5V to 40V. With an 8ms external compensation time constant, the device has fast transient response. At the same time, the remote sensing feature eliminates errors in the actual output voltage due to long runs of lead wire.Overall, the LM2674M-12 is a robust, reliable, and efficient solution for many DC-DC switching applications.
