LM2675LD-3.3/NOPB Integrated Circuits (ICs)

The LM2675LD-3.3/NOPB is a DC-to-DC switching regulator operating in step down (or buck) configuration. It is part of the LM2675-series which is an easy-to-use monolithic synchronous buck regulator family. It consists of an internal temperature compensated reference, an error amplifier, a high gain pulse width modulator and a high current DMOS power switch. All components are contained in a 9-pin package and requires no external components. It can handle voltages from 6V to 18V input voltage range and can generate output voltages of 3.3V with 0.2V accuracy.

The LM2675LD is suitable for applications that require adjustable output voltages. It is capable of achieving an output current up to 1.5A at an input voltage of 6V and is capable of switching frequencies of 6MHz. The device offers excellent load and line transient responses and utilizes frequency foldback techniques in order to limit power dissipation in overload or short-circuit situations.

When the power switch is off, the current stored in the inductor is discharged by the source and the energy is added to the output capacitor. A feedback circuit completes the closed loop control by monitoring the voltage of the output capacitor via a voltage divider, adjusting the duty cycle according to the reference voltage provided by the error amplifier.

The operating frequency of the LM2675LD-3.3/NOPB is adjustable up to 6MHz and can be achieved by connecting an external resistor between its frequency adjustment pin (FB) and ground. In addition, its on-chip feedback loop can be adjusted to make it suitable for different applications, simply by choosing the ratios of the feedback resistors.
