LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB Application Field and Working Principle

The LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB is a DC-DC switch regulator and is part of the LM2675 Simpler Switcher family from Texas Instruments. Designed for cost sensitive consumer and portable applications, the LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB is a multi-feature device designed for a wide range of step-up and step-down switching regulator applications. Input Voltage And Output Voltage

The LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB is suitable for use with a range of input voltage sources, such as AC-to-DC adapters, battery-backed systems, and automotive, wall mounted, or other suitable sources. The input voltage range for the device is 3.5V to 20V, allowing for operation from a single to three cell battery. The LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB has a wide regulated output voltage of 5.0V with an accuracy of ±5%.

Internal Protection

The LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB has built-in thermal shutdown and over-voltage protection. The device also includes a programmable current limit protection circuit. The current limit circuit is programmable, either by connecting external resistors or by using an on-board jumper. The current limit can be set to a maximum of 2A. Working Principle

The LM2675LD-5.0/NOPB converts the input voltage to a regulated output voltage using the voltage regulator principle. In the step-down mode, the device reduces the input voltage to the required output voltage. The device uses an internal high-efficiency switching converter to convert the input voltage.
