The thermistors incorporate a quad sensor design that consists of four separate thermistors that are configured to provide an accurate temperature reading between -40°C to +125°C.In terms of its operation, the LM26LVCISDX-125/NOPB works by utilizing a resistive temperature detector (RTD) and a thermocoupled amplifier (TCA) to sense the temperature of the environment. A bias current is applied to the RTD and this current is then detected by the TCA. The detected current is then compared with an external circuit\'s reference voltage. As the temperature changes, the LED bias current changes accordingly, causing the TCA to sample the data. If the sampled data is within certain parameters, the TCA will then activate the protective mechanism, which will prevent the device from going above/below the pre-set temperature limits.This device also features an integrated microcontroller which serves as a bridge between the RTD and the LED bias current. The microcontroller can be programmed to monitor and adjust the temperature readings to the sensor\'s specifications.
