LM2735YMFEVAL is a powerful evaluation board for testing and verifying the working performance of LM2735 high-frequency buck switching regulator. It is suitable for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. This board is designed to facilitate the detailed evaluation and characterization of the LM2735 in several ways.
The LM2735YMFEVAL board includes the output capacitor, inductor, load resistor, input capacitor, bias resistor, feedback network, clock capacitor, and bias capacitor for proper operation. The board also provides external programming for the INTVCC voltage, switching frequency, power good signal timeout, current limit, and auto-restart time.
The LM2735YMFEVAL board uses advanced IC technology to efficiently regulate the output voltage and has a wide range of output voltages between 0.5V to 12V. It also has a wide range of output current up to 6A. It has high power efficiency and can operate from input voltage range of 5V to 22V.
The LM2735YMFEVAL board provides external synchronizations of switching frequency using the Clock In pin on the controller. It also provides protection circuits for over-voltage, over-temperature, input under-voltage, output over-current and output over-voltage. It has current mode control for fast transient response and excellent load regulation.
The working principle of LM2735YMFEVAL is based on a buck converter topology, which uses high frequency switching to convert the input voltage to a lower voltage at the output. It is driven by the high frequency of an H-bridge type switching circuit and outputs a regulated voltage using a PWM control signal generated by the voltage loop controller. The voltage loop controller consists of an internal error amplifier, a low-pass filter, an oscillator, and a comparator, which regulate the output voltage during load and line variations.
The LM2735YMFEVAL has built-in thermal protection and over-current protection features. The thermal protection feature helps protect the circuit against heat-related problems and the over-current protection prevents the circuit from drawing too much current, which can cause damage to the circuit.
The LM2735YMFEVAL board is well suited for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications and is ideal for applications such as automotive, server, personal computers, notebook and other consumer electronics applications. It provides excellent performance, wide input voltage range and output voltage range, and has low power consumption, making it suitable for applications with strict power requirements.
