LM2830XQMFX/NOPB is a Fixed Frequency PWM Step-Down Switching Regulator which consists of an inductor, a high side Power MOSFET and low side switch, a built-in power switch, and P-channel current source MOSFET. LM2830XQMFX/NOPB provide adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 5.5V and can deliver up to 5A of load current. It is designed for high efficiency buck regulators applications. LM2830XQMFX/NOPB provide efficient components eliminate the need for large bulky capacitors on the output and allow stable output regulate even with small output capacitors.
The primary application field of LM2830XQMFX/NOPB is embedded systems, consumer electronics and portable power applications. It is suitable for battery-powered applications which required optimized power efficiency. It also suitable for PoE applications, where low power draw and high power efficiency are required.
When using the LM2830XQMFX/NOPB, it is critical to match the output capacitor with the switching frequency to improve the output performance. The required output capacitor can be determined from the equivalent output of the power supply. The equivalent load impedance should be lower than the equivalent load impedance of the regulator. The output capacitor should have a voltage rating of least twice as much as the output voltage.
