The LM2852Y-2.5EVAL is a power electronics evaluation board designed to evaluate the performance of an LM2852Y-2.5 DC/DC and AC/DC off-line controller IC. It is an ideal board for prototyping efficient high performance power supplies. It supports features like overload protection, variable frequency operation, and adjustable output voltage and current. This evaluation board also has integrated MOSFET drivers for fast and reliable operation.The LM2852Y-2.5EVAL is a wide-range input AC/DC or single-ended 48V input DC/DC off-line controller evaluation board. It offers the flexibility to configure the board as either an off-line offline or buck (step-down) topology power supply, and the user can select the type of control scheme. It is designed to demonstrate the performance characteristics of the LM2852Y-2.5 controller IC. The block diagram below shows the components of the board and how they are connected. 
The LM2852Y-2.5EVAL board is capable of operating as an AC/DC offline controller from wide-range input of 7V to 30V, a single ended 48V input DC/DC off-line controller, and a buck (step-down) DC/DC controller from wide-range input of 5V to 40V. The purpose of the evaluation board is to provide a platform for designers to experiment and characterize the LM2852Y-2.5 controller IC. The LM2852Y-2.5EVAL board provides an adjustable output voltage and current level. It also has current limit features and switch-mode overload protection. This wide-range input AC/DC or DC/DC off-line evaluation board supports variable frequency operation from 30 kHz to 600 kHz. It also supports forced pulse width modulation (PWM) and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control, which helps reduce stress on components, reduce peak current requirements of external component, and increase light-load efficiency.The LM2852Y-2.5E controller IC used in this evaluation board features a high-speed loop time response, low start-up time and current limit threshold, and built-in protections. It supports up to 25V external MOSFETs, which enables designers to use the LM2852Y-2.5E controller IC with large feature set in their designs.In summary, the LM2852Y-2.5EVAL board is an ideal evaluation platform for designers to evaluate and experiment with the LM2852Y-2.5E controller IC in their designs, and to characterise the performance characteristics of this IC.
