The LM2917N-8 is a pulse-width modulation integrated circuit (IC) pulse-width modulation (PWM) voltage-to-frequency (V/F) converter used to convert an input voltage signal into an output frequency signal. This type of integrated circuit can be used in applications including motor control and power supply regulation.

This PWM voltage-to-frequency converter utilises a reference voltage determined by the user to create a reference frequency (Fs). A feedback loop is then used to compare the reference frequency to the output frequency, so that any variation in the output voltage can be monitored.
