The LM4562NA/NOPB is a high performance dual audio operational amplifier and both are optimized for low noise, low distortion audio applications. It is designed to provide superior frequency response and linearity, combined with very low noise performance. The LM4562NA/NOPB is the industry’s highest performing device utilizing the Burson family of amplifiers, enabling exceptionally low noise and high linearity performance. With its ability to drive inputs of up to ±15V and its ultra-low distortion, this device is an ideal replacement for traditional instrumentation amplifiers.
The LM4562NA/NOPB can be used in a variety of linear applications such as audio pre-amplifiers, low location noise, low input impedance amplifers and low output impedance buffers. It is perfect for applications such as line-level pre-amplification and instrumentation, professional audio and signal conditioning. This device also features improved power dissipation which is ideal for battery-powered applications. The LM4562NA/NOPB is an internally compensated device and uses an advanced feedback compensation technique to achieve a wider overall frequency response, greater stability, better linearity and improved noise performance. This technique minimizes the amount of noise introduced by the external components. It is easy to use as it is comes in an 8 pin dual-in-line package, and provides both electrical and thermal protection. This makes the device robust and reliable.
The operation principle behind the LM4562NA/NOPB is fairly simple. It consists of two input transistors and two class-A gain stages which form a differential amplifier with complementary outputs. The differential amplifier is followed by two voltage-controlled gain stages, which amplify the differential signal to drive both the positive and the negative outputs. This circuit is then powered by dual power supplies providing a power of 4.5V to each amplifier. The power supply voltage is also derived from the buffered supply of the input transistors.
