The LM6211MFX is a high-accuracy instrumentation amplifier with very low offset voltage, high common mode rejection, and low temperature drift in a single device. It operates in the very wide power supply range of 1.5 to 28V, consuming only 4uA, making it ideal for portable and battery-operated instrumentation applications. With its proprietary design, the amplifier produces lower gain-bandwidth product as compared to other traditional instrumentation amplifiers – suitable for noise-sensitive, low-frequency and low-power applications. As a result, the LM6211MFX is becoming the component of choice for any instrumentation application, from low-bandwidth, low-noise medical equipment to high-speed, high-sensitivity data acquisition and anti-aliasing systems.

The LM6211MFX is a fully differential amplifier, meaning it can accept two input signals, each of which can in-turn control each one’s respective output’s amplifier transfer function. This provides an unparalleled level of functional gain control and input signal sensitivity over a wide dynamic range. The LM6211MFX utilizes full CMOS process, so each device can be fabricated in small packages, enabling easy integration and miniaturization of high-performance instrumentation amplifiers.The LM6211MFX offers superior accuracy, low offset voltage and low temperature drift. The amplifier is designed to have a low offset voltage, which is typically 0.02mV and typically less than 0.06mV with a maximum temperature coefficient of 0.2nV/°C. It also features a low supply current of 4uA and a wide power supply range from 1.5 to 28V. Furthermore, the amplifier has an extremely low noise level, typically 0.75nV/Root-Hz.

The LM6211MFX provides a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 81dB typically and has an excellent PSRR of 80dB typical. Additionally, the amplifier has extended power supply operation from 1.5 to 28V, making the LM6211MFX ideal for portable and battery-operated applications. The LM6211MFX is also stable with any capacitive loads, offering true AC specifications with no output peaking or phase shift through its gain bandwidth of 10kHz – hence providing excellent stability at with any input signal.

The LM6211MFX can also be used in a variety of applications such as medical instruments, industrial process control, automotive acceleration detection, pressure transducers, thermistors, vibration and tilt measurement systems, and smart sensors. It is a versatile device that can also be used for gain-error calibration. The LM6211MFX is ideal for high-impedance inputs and low noise, since its low noise feature reduces the dependency on external components. Additionally, its common-mode range extends below ground which facilitates single-ended inputs.
