The LM95213CISDX/NOPB temperature sensors are among the most commonly used and reliable temperature transducers available in the market. The working principle of this device relies on the voltage-sensing mechanism. It comprises of a PNP bipolar transistor, a voltage divider and a reference voltage reference source. The voltage divider sets the output of the temperature sensor to match the output of the reference voltage. The divider is comprised of two resistors, R1 and R2. The voltage output of the sensor is given by Vout=VREFx (R1/R2).
The internal architecture of the LM95213CISDX/NOPB temperature sensors also include a temperature-sensing module with an enhanced temperature range accuracy and a temperature data output accuracy of up to ±0.1°C. The temperature sensing module is integrated inside the device, making it compact and ensuring that the measurement is not affected by any external factors.
The output of the temperature sensor is directly proportional to the sensed temperature. The linearity and accuracy of the output over the entire range is ensured by using the voltage-sensing circuitry, that prevents any non-linearities from the offset and scaling errors. The sensor also includes proprietary temperature compensation algorithms, which ensures the accuracy of the readings irrespective of the environmental temperature changes.
