The LMR62014XMFDEMO/NOPB is a low-EMI Single-Phase AC/DC Controller Evaluation Board from Texas Instruments, intended to provide customers an immediate understanding of the functionality and performance of the company\'s LMR62014 single-phase AC/DC controller. A wide range of off-line AC/DC power supply applications, including isolated DC/DC, non-isolated DC/DC and Active PFC, are supported via the onboard configurable components. The LMR62014XMFDEMO/NOPB evaluation board is suitable for medium power applications, offering high isolation and low RFI/EMI.

The evaluation board is designed for two controllers, the LMR62014 single-phase AC/DC controller and the companion LMR62016 control IC. The quantity of each controller can be varied according to the application and design requirement. Together, the controllers form a complete power supply system with multiple features, such as programmable output voltage, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, EMI filter, soft-start, and thermal protection.

The main function of the LMR62014XMFDEMO/NOPB is to provide power conditioning for a wide range of off-line AC/DC power supply applications. The evaluation board contains all the necessary components to enable user to set up the specified application with minimal effort. Its design principle is based on the flyback topology, with an active EMI filter, providing an output voltage of 12V for a wide input voltage range of 85VAC to 265VAC. The user can adjust the output voltage from 4V to 12V via a potentiometer.

The LMR62014 single-phase AC/DC controller contains an integrated PWM controller, an internal soft-start circuit, programmable over-current protection and OVP/UVLO circuit. It features a peak current mode control with programmable output voltage and over-current protection. Due to the high-integration of the controller IC, the evaluation board is easy to set up with a minimal number of external components. The LMR62014XMFDEMO/NOPB evaluation board also contains a companion LMR62016 control IC, which features an integrated switch current limit and fault protection.

Overall, the LMR62014XMFDEMO/NOPB evaluation board is a versatile and efficient low-EMI single-phase AC/DC controller that provides customers an immediate understanding of the features and performance of the LMR62014 IC.
