The LMR62421XSDDEMO/NOPB evaluation board is an AC/DC (off-line) SMPS with applications such as power supplies, motors, and other constant power sources. It is engineered to bring reliable and efficient design solutions in power conversion. The evaluation board includes the AC power stage for boosting or bucking, and the DC power stage for stabilizing output.

The power stage consists of a switching power supply optimized for high efficiency, wide input voltage range (90-264Vac, 47-63Hz, single-phase), and low-power solution. An AC/DC converter with double-stage topology converters efficiently convert AC input to a DC output voltage on the secondary side. It also provides a regulated output.

For automotive applications, the evaluation board provides an interface to the controller that allows for easy control of the power stages. This connection provides an analog signal that controls the DC/DC converter for power efficiency and noise optimization. It also provides a controller signal to switch the power stages on and off in order to control the output voltage.

The evaluation board also includes integrated protection features such as over-voltage, over-temperature, short-circuit, and brown-out. These protection features will delay the power stages\' activation and prevent the system from damage, failure, or over-current.

The evaluation board operates with a switching frequency of up to 10MHz and uses the Half-bridge structure for the power stages. This embedded controller includes a Graphic User Interface (GUI) to allow users to monitor the system performance and configuration. Furthermore, the controller communicates well with the selected microcontroller for easy power stage control.
