The LMV851EVAL/NOPB is a evaluation board for operational amplifiers. An operational amplifier, or op-amp, is a high-gain direct-coupled amplifier that can be utilized for any application that amplifies small signals to levels suitable for processing. As a key component in analog and digital signal processing and control systems, the LMV851EVAL/NOPB operational amplifier is versatile and can be implemented as an inverting amplifier, a noninverting amplifier, a filter amplifier, a voltage follower, a summing amplifier, an active integrator, an active differentiator, and an oscillator.

Application Field

The LMV851EVAL/NOPB consists of two 8-pin dual operational amplifiers (OPA851) – making it ideal for audio applications such as preamplification, buffering, and driving loudspeakers. Working Principle

At its core, the LMV851EVAL/NOPB consists of four op amps which are powered by a single 5V rail, although they can withstand supplies up to 10V. Each op amp is composed of a differential amplifier stage, with two transistors for each differential pair, whose input has been low-pass filtered and Bootstrapped to provide a large common-mode voltage range. The differential amplifier has a differential gain of 106dB and supports both single-ended and differential input signals.

Each op amp also has a common-mode feedback loop which allows it to offer a cutoff frequency response that is independent of the load of the amplifier. The opamps also have level shifting of a voltage reference separator to ensure a high level of accuracy. Additionally, the LMV851EVAL/NOPB has a unique noise-canceling feature that helps reduce the influence of external noise on its performance.
