The LNK625DG-TL is an offline switcher product within the power management integrated circuit (PMIC) AC DC converters family by Power Integrations. It is a monolithic IC designed as an offline flyback controller IC, with a 700V/10A avalanche rugged MOSFET highly integrated into its circuit design. It is specifically intended for low power offline applications.

This product is designed with a universal low-cost line-operated switcher application in mind. The device is capable of driving a wide range of AC or DC output loads, from line-powered LED lighting, AC adapters, and home appliances to distributed power systems, such as telecommunication lines. The LNK625DG-TL is designed with a leading-edge current-mode control architecture, resulting in improved load-transient response, lower output-ripple, and faster loop-response time. It also has a ‘No-Ringing’ Burst-Mode® feature, with improved EMI performance, lower electromagnetic interference, resulting in safer operation of the system.

All these features are further enhanced by Over-Current Protection (OCP) circuitry, allowing the device to react correctly to faults from over current or the sudden disconnection of the load. It is also equipped with Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) for thermal protection and to reduce system power loss due to over-temperature.

The LNK625DG-TL is available in a variety of packages, from low-profile DIP to SO8 packages. This product offers flexibility by enabling user-programmable features such as frequency, slope compensation, and start-up resistor. A highly integrated PWM demodulator assures a high level of noise immunity and provides very low operating noise.
