Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) are used for managing and regulating the power supply of an electronic device. PMICs are classified into Voltage Regulators, Battery Chargers and Battery Management Systems, each of which plays an important role in the efficient and reliable operation of the system. Voltage Regulators which generally come in two types – linear and switching – are used to regulate the voltage. Linear regulators are the most common type of voltage regulators and they are used to convert a higher voltage to a lower voltage while supplying load current. LP5900SD-2.0/NOPB is a linear voltage regulator.

LP5900SD-2.0/NOPB is an adjustable low dropout voltage regulator available in the TO-263 package. It is capable of providing an output current of up to 500mA which makes it well suited for use in applications such as consumer electronics, industrial control systems, automotive systems, medical applications and more.
