LP5912Q2.8DRVRQ1 is a voltage regulator developed by Texas Instruments, part of its range of low-power linear regulators. As part of the LP5912Q2 family, this device is a low-quiescent current, low-dropout regulator specifically designed to satisfy the demands of portable communications and computing applications. Witting a wide range of input voltages (1.8V to 5.5V), this voltage regulator is capable of output currents of up to 200mA with a fixed voltage regulation tolerance of ±2%.

The LP5912Q2.8DRVRQ1 regulator is extremely efficient - thanks to its quiescent current of 4µA for linear output current up to 100mA, thus allowing for longer battery life. On-chip circuits monitor the output to protect both the regulator and the load in case of over-current or over-temperature conditions, eliminating the need for external components and reducing time to market.

One of the features most appreciated by users is the “Active Discharge” function that helps the regulator to quickly discharge the output voltage without internal components. This feature helps prevent any accidental "hot-start" conditions and helps ensure that the load receives accurate regulation, avoiding the need for wearing out components all the time.

In order to further enhance user experience, LP5912Q2.8DRVRQ1 incorporates a variety of diagnostic and control features such as output voltage selection, current limit, voltage tracking and other functions by combination of three register bits. To enable users to safely adjust the output voltage LP5912Q2.8DRVRQ1 allows for active pull-low, with a resistor connected to the V-(VSET) pin.
