The LP5990TMX-1.2/NOPB is a monolithic linear 3-terminal regulator featuring internal current sensing for both Li-ion battery charge status monitoring and Li-ion filter for incoming power. The LP5990 is designed for use in low-voltage applications where output accuracy and load regulation levels are critical. It incorporates a low-dropout regulator (LDO) that can be used to limit the voltage across the load to a specific output voltage value. The LP5990 improves the accuracy of the system by providing a more constant current at a higher output current.
